Meet the Staff

Pastor Greg Van Dunk

Pastor
E-mail Pastor Greg Van Dunk

It has been a joy to serve Atonement as Pastor since 2005.  Together we’ve grown in faith and numbers as we relocated and built a new church, multiplied opportunities to worship God and developed skills for life and ministry.  We’ve added many terrific staff and expanded our efforts to serve a world in need.

Prior to Atonement it was a privilege to plant All Peoples Church (ELCA) in Milwaukee and serve as Assistant Pastor of Epiphany Lutheran church in Dayton, OH.  I also was fortunate to serve part time as ELCA Mission Director for the Greater Milwaukee synod from 2003-2010.

Ann and I have been gratefully married for as many years as I’ve been a Pastor (29).  We live in Milwaukee not far from Habitat for Humanity where she works.   We have three grown children along with their spouses and two grandsons (If you twist my arm I’ll show you their pictures!).

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds.  – Romans 12:2a

Judy Kolstad

Associate In Ministry for CareGiving
E-mail Judy Kolstad

I was called as an Associate in Ministry (AIM) to Atonement in 2007. I oversee the daily care of the members of Atonement and work primarily in conjunction with Pastor Greg.  I oversee grief groups, support groups, make hospital visits, take communion to shut ins, listen to those needing a ‘listening ear.’  I am available to help members when their parents or relatives who might not be members are ill or near death.  The main focus of my life is to “be the hands and feet of God” as best I can.

I am the mom of four adult children and six grandchildren, all of whom enjoy their week at the Outer Banks, NC each July.

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Isaiah 40:31

Coordinator for Children & Family Ministry

As the Coordinator for CFM, I work closely with families and volunteers to create dynamic christian learning opportunities for our school age children. I am also the instructor of both Little Steps and Family Steps Together. These classes encourage families to grow together in faith and go deeper in their relationship with God. We enjoy learning about our Heavenly Father with bible stories, songs, games and crafts.

My husband, Tim and daughters, Emily and Katelyn are frequent helpers in class.  I am blessed to watch these young students grow!

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
-Romans 8:28

Courtney Metko

I became the Child Care Coordinator in October 2014. I have worked with children in one way or another my who life – babysitting as a teen, in-home childcare after my youngest was born for several years, Sunday School teacher and now working at Tess Corners Elementary here in Muskego as a Special Education Instructional Aide. So when I heard about the Child Care Coordinator position, it only seemed fitting!

My husband Jeremiah and I have lived in Muskego since 2008. We have 3 children – Isabella, Jack and Landon who love coming to help me in the nursery! In my free time I love gardening, antiquing, finding new activities to do with my kiddos and spending time up north at the family cottage in Conover, WI where we go 4-wheeling during the summer and snowmobiling in the winter!

I grew up on my parents’ farm in N.E. Iowa, home of Upper Iowa University, where I attended college while helping with the farm during the summer months.

I taught high school math and the sciences after graduating and then worked with Federal Drug Administration (FDA) for thirty years.

Joy and I met during adult forum at church. We have four children, all now on their own, and five grandchildren.

We moved to Mukwonago in 2000 when I tried to retire.  Joy is an instructor at Marquette Dental School and I’m driving school bus, but enjoy working with numbers and adults!
