So, I was thinking more about our discussion around cruel temptations, and how God wants us to build others up, not tear each other down. If you think about it, there are so many references in the Bible about building things. Take Noah for example, well we all know what he built. Yeah, I am talking about that ginormous boat God asked him to build to hold two of every kind of living thing. What do you think would have happened if Noah had ignored God’s instructions to build that ark? Well, for one, I probably would not be here writing this journal entry.

The first book of Thessalonians, Chapter 5 says this, “So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you should do….see that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people.”

Do you know what an architect is? An architect is someone who designs and builds buildings. It is their job to know how to build strong and sturdy buildings that can stay standing tall for many many years. I think God asks us to be His architects of people. When we build each other up, we are making each other stronger and sturdier, allowing us to be able to withstand whatever challenges come to us. And if we continue to build each other up with bricks of love and kindness, we’ll all become tall and strong enough to reach God’s kingdom in heaven! How cool is that?!

Let’s all be architects and builders for God! Have a blessed week!
